Merging historical heritage with contemporary reflections, "Hagia Sofia" draws on Özok's training in frescoes and mosaics during doctoral studies, where she contributed to the Italian restoration project and authored a book on the iconic Hagia Sophia mosaics. Upon visiting New York City Özok came to realise that brands were our modern icons. the series merges the past and present into a parallel reality.
